Blessed Feathers “American Sands, Earthly Treason”

Musical fashions changes all the time, but there are some things which don’t evolve. One of them are simple songs usually labeled as “indie”, “folk” or “neo-folk”. Guitar, voice, text, simple melody and plain arrangement. In fact You don’t need more if the song is well written – no fancy studio tricks and other gimmicks.
Audience of artists like Will Oldham, Jose Gonzales or Bon Iver is specific, but this niche will always be, becouse this music doesn’t get old. And I know why, when I listen to songs as beutiful as this one. Simply brilliant.

St Lucia “The Old House is Gone”

A great single here from St. Lucia‘s last year EP released by Heavy Roc Music label. It’s full of energy, positive and reminds me Empire of the Sun with it’s synths. The rest of EP is also nice. Maybe to pop for me, but i wish to hear this kind of pop from radio.
