Plan B “Prayin'”
Plan B is regarded usually as a hip-hop, but this track has nothing to do with hip-hop. It’s really cool anyway…
Poe “Hello” (Stir of Echoes Remix)
Very nice tune from Poe remixed and used in “Stir of Echoes” film.
Sufjan Stevens “Futile Devices”
Utterly beautiful miniature by Sufjan Stevens from his recent album…
Susanne Sundfor “The Brothel”
Lykke Li “Melodies and Desires”
Empire Of The Sun “We Are The People”
Saint Etienne “Nothing Can Stop Us”
Peter, Bjorn & John “Young Folks”
Adele “Hometown Glory” & “Hometown Glory” (High Contrast Rmx)
Here is very a nice example for a tune which can sound really good in different genres. First is quite lirical Adele’s original of Hometown Glory. And the track below is drum’n’ bass remix of it made by High Contrast. Both tracks have compeletly opposite energy rythm and atmosphere, but they are driven by one vocal and both are really good.
So, first sentimental and intimate ballad by Adele and than d’n’b rollercoaster with her and High Contrast:
