Many musical critics called Photek’s debut “Modus Operandi” the best and most important album of 1997 in electronic music. And there is something in it. This is compeletly different approach to drum’n’bass – more introvertic, conceptual and slower. Photek focused on detail. Each sound, drum or melody, every note can be heard here separate and as a part of the whole at one time. And this “whole” is realy something, not as a summ of details, it is much more.
This album was ascribed also to electronica or even jazz. Some tracks can be not easy to listen for many, but eponymus “Modus Operandi” is good for everyone.

To speed up a little bit a glimpse of Hospital Records and great remix of London Elektricity made by High Contrast, who seems to be realasing a mix every few days. But it’s not that bad after all (until most of them are realy good).
