The best way to start a weekend.
Monthly Archives: September 2013
Moderat “Rusty Nails”
I heard Moderat for the first time in Polish Poznań when they played as a support for Radiohead. I ended listening to Moderat insted of Radiohead or few next weeks :-)
Jenova 7 & Mr. Moods “Smooth Jazz Backup”
Caribou “Sun”
This tune tells about a thing which won’t be seen in Poland for next 6 months.
Noon “Why Be Good”
Noon, why you’ve made it so short?
A Tribe Called Quest “Can I Kick It”
Gus Gus “Polyesterday”
One of my favourite songs ever. The video is equally good.
Cyril Hahn “Perfect Form” feat. Shy Girls
Well, this friday I spend on my couch so to add a little of life to this evening let’s try this tune.
It’s not “huge” “massive” or anything like that, but somehow I like it a lot. Light house music which can’t decide whether it wants to go to a dancefloor or to chill a little bit. Just very nice. And this “nice” is not bad thing at all. Not every tune have to change history of music. Often good “nice” house is enough.
Michael Gray “The Weekend”
This is my ultimate weekend starter for a very long time. Very sexy sounds and video as well. Here you can find long club version which will help you to do a lot of mess on every dance floor you will play it.
Massive Attack “What Your Soul Sings”
Massive Attack’s collaborations with female vocalists always were very fruitful. When You look at the names, you can see that they know where to look for an extraordinary effect – Shara Nelson (Blue Lines), Tracey Thorn and Nicolette Suwoton (Protection), Elisabeth Fraser (Mezannine), Martina Topley-Bird (Splitting the Atom), Hope Sandoval (Heligoland).
And there is also “100 th window” LP with unique Sinéad O’Connor apperance. I can listen to her voice on this album over and over.
Here ethereal yet so strong “What Your Soul Sings”.
