This track will propably be understood only by Poles, becouse of the phrases which relate to Polish slavic roots, but it is a piece of a good music though. Title means “I’m slavic” and in our times of political correctness I can add, that it is not rascist tune ;-)
They are hard to define in case of music style – deriving from rock, alternative rock, folk, and many more… One of the most influental and creative Polish bands these times .

Radiohead “How To Disappear Completely”
My Bloody Valentine “I Only Said”
And a little bit more noise. Good noise.
On!Air!Library! “Bread”
The On!Air!Library! life was very short. They recorded only 2 albums (“A Lifetime Or More” and On!Air!Library!) and split in 2004 after few years on the scene. This New York band made up of twin sisters (Alley and Claudia Deheza) and Phillip Wann played a realy good stuff. They combined nice melodies with some noise, atmosphere, effects with influence of contemporary rock bands and old classics like Velvet Underground.
And this contrast between twin-voice and sometimes harsh indie vibe sounded realy well:
Laleh “Invisible”
Laleh is from Sweden but her roots are in Iran. It is more indie-pop not rock, but it’s still nice.
Hood “Branches Bare”
One of the most interesting post-rock British bands. They are from Leeds so You shouldn’t be suprised that they aren’t to optimistic. Neverthless they are exceptionally good.
Comaneci “A Pair Of Glasses”
They are from Italy (Ravenna), almost nobody know them, but they are worth of a look…
Cat Power “Wonderwall”
This is an outstanding (but unfortunately short) cover of Oasis “Wonderwall”. Cat Power (Charlyn Marie Marshall) is daughter of bluesman from Atlanta, and You can realy hear these genes in her voice:
Shearwater “Home Life”
I often ask myself question “why do You have to live on the countryside of UK, USA or Iceland to write such a simple and beautiful music?”. Well, I have no idea.
