DJ Shadow “Stem/Long Stem/Transmission 2”
If I were to choose the best albums of ’90 DJ Shadow’s “Endtroducing” definitely would end in top 5. And “Stem” is one of 13 proofs, for excellence of this LP.
Bran Van 3000 “Drinking In LA”
I love this song for its energy, flow, groove and… whatever. Just love it.
Saint Etienne “The Sea (PFM Remix)”
Bonobo “Cirrus” – new single
New Bonobo‘s single is here. This is a first good news. The second is that it is really good. Less melody, more introverted, but with always recognizable Bonobo’s touch. Seems that he listened a lot of Burial and Four Tet last year.
Waiting for forthcoming “The North Borders” LP very much. Expectations have been raised. Good video just adds more plesure.
Tom Vek “Nothing But Green Lights”
With some nice echos from Talking Heads.
Anitek “Square One”
Dusted Wax Kingdom is a netlabel based in Bulgaria. I often expolre their website in search of good music and there is always something worth of attention. They are focused on downtempo, trip-hop, instrumental hip-hop and lo-fi grooves and they know what the good sound is.
One of my discoveries from Dusted Wax library is Anitek – american producer from Morristown. This is a track from really good EP “Extralocal” .
Aphex Twin “Window Licker”
No comment or explanation needed here. Full version with crazy and brilliant video here.
Craig Armstrong “Business”
Craig Armstrong is a brilliant composer. His ability of combining various stilistics with no dissonance is exeptional. And here one of his best works from “Plankett & Mcleane” film score. Here, witin 4 minutes, You can expirience classic, electronic and drum’n bass music as one and complete story. Sublime.
